マインドセットスクール（12/27）が終了しました！ 今回のゲストはラーニングデザイナーの大西景子さんです。 大西景子氏 プロフィール 今回のテーマは「プレゼントフル・マインド」です。 というのは「後付け」で･･･笑 いつもは事前にテーマがきまっているのですが、今回は特にテーマを決めず、 その場の参加者の様子や状況に合わせて即時的に活動を決めていく･･･ という"即興ワークショップ"をやって頂きました！ ■準備 〜会場デザイン〜 今回は準備の段階からワクワク・ドキドキでした。 とりあえずロール紙を床に広げてみたところ。  安斎「ところで、今日何やるか決まりました？」 大西さん「まだ決めてないんだよね。どうしようね？」  大西さん「みんなで外に行こうと思ってるんだけど。」 安斎「良いですね。何しに行くんですか？」 大西さん「何しにいったらいいと思う？笑」 などなど･･･そんなやりとりを直前まで繰り返しながら、ワークショップ開始！ ■自己紹介〜服の理由〜  まずは輪になって自己紹介！「今日着ている服を選んだ"理由"」を紹介します。 「赤が好きだから」「寒いから着込んでます」など、色々な理由がありました。 恥ずかしがって「適当です」と答えていた人も、掘り下げて質問されると 実は何気ない理由や好みがあって選んでいることがわかりました。 「服は情報が沢山詰まった、毎日着るメディアなんですよ」と大西さん。 みんなの「服の理由」を聞いていると、色や形などの「見える情報」と、 近くに置いてあったから･･･などの「見えない情報」が、 服というメディアには詰まっていることがわかります。 ■服のフルーツバスケット〜情報を引き出す〜 自己紹介が終わったら、服に関わる「条件」をつかってフルーツバスケット！ 「赤い服の人」「メガネの人」「お気に入りの服を着ている人」等･･･  情報を引き出すために他の人をよくみなければいけません。 特に「見えない情報」を引き出すためには、相手の背景まで考える必要があります。 この「服の理由自己紹介」と「服のフルーツバスケット」は、 キッズデザイン賞を受賞したふくのりゆうワークショップの活動の一部です。 ■大西さんのお仕事〜楽しい場のデザイン〜 ここで、大西さんのお仕事について話を伺いました。 通常のMindsetSchoolではワークショップが終わった 最後に物語を聞きますが、今回は活動の内容にあわせて 大西さんのお仕事の中から関連のあるお話を伺う形式をとりました。 大西さんのお仕事は、一言で言えば「楽しい場をデザインする」仕事。 子供向けの「ワークショップ」を開催したり、企業の「会議」を 楽しく演出したり、その為の「ツール」を開発するお仕事です。  大西さんがワークショップをする際には、 その根底には「ブリコラージュ」という考え方があるそうです。 ブリコラージュは、目標を決めて計画的にものをつくるのではなく、 その場に「ある素材」を寄せ集めてつくっていく方法のことです。 冷蔵庫にある材料から夕食のメニューを決める･･というのはまさにブリコラージュ！  大西さんは「ワークショップの素材は"今ココ"にある」と仰います。 事前に目標や内容を完全に決めるのではなく、その場にいる参加者や、 そこにある道具を使って、状況の変化に対応しながら、即興的に 面白いワークショップをデザインしていくことを大切にしているそうです。 また、ワークショップや企業の会議をデザインする時は、 必ず「リアルタイムドキュメンテーション」に拘っているそうです。  リアルタイムドキュメンテーションとは、会議やワークショップなど、 その場で起きた「出来事」をその場で「記録」することです。 写真やムービーを撮影したり、重要なキーワードをメモしたりして、 数時間の会議やワークショップをその場で「数分間」の映像にまとめるのです。 それによって、その場にいた人は活動を振り返ることが出来るし、 その場にいなかった人にも場の雰囲気を伝えることが出来ます。 例えば、こんなものです→ 参考：POF RTV Photograph こうした記録をリアルタイムで行うことは、 単なる記録ではなく場を活性化する効果があるのだそうです。 等々、みんなでお茶を飲みながら、ゆったりと色々なお話しを伺いました。 ■おもてなしのお皿〜"あの人"の為に情報をデザインする〜 いよいよ、ワークショップに入っていきます。 まず、紙に「お皿」の絵を描きます。  そうしたら、具体的な「誰か」を思い浮かべて、 その人を「おもてなし」するために「必要なもの」を 自由にお皿に描いていくアクティビティです。 あの人は何が好きだろう？どうすれば喜んでくれるだろう？ ･･･そんなことを考えながら、文字や絵を描き入れます。 完成したら、数人で内容をシェアします。 「よく食べる友達なので、沢山食べ物を描きました」 「お母さんは甘い物が好きだから、甘い物を描きました」 などなど･･･  ここで、「見える情報」と「見えない情報」の話を思い出します。 つい「食べ物」や「食器」など、見える情報が中心になりますが、 おもてなしをする為に必要な「見えない情報」とは何だろう？ どんな場所で？どんな音楽で？どんな照明で？どんな風に？ そんなことを考えると、より深い「おもてなし」が出来ますね。  みんなでよりよい「おもてなし」をするために話し合いました。 誰かのためにアイデアを考えている時は、皆さんキラキラしていますね！ 出来上がったアイデアを発表しているところ。  大事なことは、「何を」用意するかではなく「どういう風に」用意するか。 相手のことを考えながら、見えない情報をデザインすることが重要です。 大西さんが「場のデザイン」をする時は、こういうことを考えているのですね。 ■PQ（Present Quotient）を高めよう！ ここで、大西さんが11月にオープンしたお店「BOX & NEEDLE」の紹介がありました。 BOX & NEEDLEは「箱」の専門店という面白いお店です。  大西さんは賢さの指標である「IQ（Intelligence Quotient）」も大事だけれど、 相手をおもてなしする能力「PQ（Present Quotient）」も大事ではないかと仰います。 箱は、プレゼントやおもてなしの為にもとても有効なツールですね！ 是非、BOX & NEEDLEに遊びにいってみて下さい。 ■フォーマティブリサーチ〜指筆ワークショップを改善する〜 ここで、大西さんが開発に関わっている「指筆」というツールの登場です。 大西さんから配られた箱を開けると、中には指に装着可能な毛筆が入っています。  これは、冬の曇りガラスに子供が指で文字や絵を描く動作からインスピレーション を受け、毛筆と同じタッチで指で自在に絵を描くためのツールです。 好きな指に装着してみます。  大西さんは、現在この指筆を用いたワークショップを企画中で、 来月にある幼稚園で実施する予定なのだそうです。 そのワークショップを少しでも良いものにするためには、どうしたらいいでしょうか？ そこでカギになるのが「フォーマティブ・リサーチ」という考え方です。 大西さんから「安斎先生、説明して」と言われたので、大学院の授業で 調べた資料を用いて、フォーマティブ・リサーチの解説をしました(笑)  フォーマティブ・リサーチ（形成的評価）とは、何かものをつくる際に、 より良いものをつくるために、改善・修正のための調査（評価）をすることです。 良いモノ、良いサービス、良いワークショップをつくろう！と思っても、 調査・評価をしなければ単なる「勘」に頼った作業になってしまいます。 そこで、制作の段階から試作品をきちんと評価し、 その評価結果を踏まえて改善することが大事なのです。 フォーマティブ・リサーチの事例で有名なのは、「セサミ・ストリート」です。 セサミは、実はあらゆる領域の専門家が集まった非常に優秀なスタッフチーム によって、丁寧なフォーマティブ・リサーチを経て作られている番組なのです！  以上を踏まえて、指筆ワークショップを実際に体験してみます。 まずはみんなでロール紙に寝転がって、指筆で「型」をとります。   型が出来たら、魚拓ならぬ「自分拓」をつくりましょう！ 自分の"内面"にある構成要素を自分の型の中に描いていきます。  指筆を貸し借りしながら、いろんな色を使って描いています。  模様を描いたり、絵を描いたり、文字を書いたり、 人によって様々な表現方法で「自分拓」をつくっています。  完成したら、鑑賞会！自分の作品を説明したり、 質問をしながらお互いの作品を鑑賞しあいます。  指筆という楽しいツールを使って"自分"を描いてみると、 普段は気付かなかった「自分のコト」がわかった人もいたようです。 さて、指筆ワークショップを楽しんだあとは、 指筆やワークショップの活動案の改善点を話し合います。  実際に体験してみて気付いたことを振り返ると、 色々な新しいアイデアや改善点が見つかりました！ こうして、フォーマティブ・リサーチを繰り返すことで、 よりよい道具やワークショップが生まれていくのですね！  ■リフレクション ワークショップは振り返りが大事です。 今日出てきたキーワードが書かれたドキュメンテーションキャンディを みんなで取りながら、1日の活動をリフレクションしました。  このキャンディは、アシスタントの鈴木あすかさんが記録してくれました。 ■ラップアップ 最後に、安斎からラップアップ（まとめ）をしました。 何が起こるかわからなかったので、ラップアップはWS中に作りました。 これも１つのリアルタイムドキュメンテーションかもしれません。  安斎が話したことは、以下のようなことです。 ▽メディアと情報 印象的だったのは服を「メディア」と捉えていた点です。 メディアというとテレビ、新聞、あるいはCDなどを想像するかもしれませんが、 情報が詰まっているモノ、という意味では周囲の至るところにメディアは存在します。 そして、そこに詰まった情報には「見える情報」と「見えない情報」があったのでした。 ▽見えない情報を観察する 私たちはつい「見える情報」にとらわれてしまいますが、 今回のWSで重要だったのは「見えない情報」の扱い方でした。 「見えない情報」をキャッチするためには、観察力や想像力が必要です。 ここで、6月に安斎が実施したCVSワークショップでの学びを振り返りました。 CVSワークショップでは、日常的に利用しているコンビニを徹底的に観察することで、 そのコンビニの隠れた「ウリ」を発見し、新しい広告をリデザインしたのでした。 見える情報を"見る"のではなく、見えない情報を"観る"。 そうした「観察」から、新しい価値は生み出せるのでした。 これは、今回のワークショップでも改めて確認出来た重要なポイントです。 ▽PQ（Present Quotient）とは何か そうしたことを踏まえて、今回大西さんからは PQ（おもてなしする力、プレゼントする力）という考えを学びました。 安斎が考えるPQの構成要素は以下の3つの能力です。 (1)観察力（相手の背景にある「見えない情報」を観る力） (2)情報デザインスキル（相手の為に情報をデザインする力） (3)フォーマティブ・リサーチスキル（相手の感想を聴き、改善する力） そして、これらの３つスキルの根底には、 "相手を思いやる心"というマインドセットがあるのではないでしょうか。 ▽プレゼントフル・コミュニケーション プレゼントの本質を考えれば、あげるものは必ずしも 「モノ」である必要はないのではないでしょうか。 相手のことを思いやり、PQ溢れるコミュニケーションが出来るなら、 日常的なコミュニケーションの中でも"プレゼント"は可能です。 そうした"プレゼントフル"なコミュニケーションを日々心がける。 そして、その質を高めるための手段として「道具」も有効に活用する。 そうした「プレゼントフル・コミュニケーション」を最後に提案しました。 ラップアップ後、大西さんから最後に 「プレゼントフル・マインド、略して"フル・マイ（振る舞い）"を大事にしましょう」 とメッセージを頂きました。  そして、お菓子入りの「箱」を参加者全員にプレゼントして下さいました。 この箱は「誰か大切な人にプレゼントしてあげて下さい」とのことです。 ゆったりと、場の状況に合わせて即時的に展開された ワークショップでしたが、こうして振り返ってみると、 大西さんから「大事な学び」をプレゼントして頂けたように思います。 大西さん、そしてアシスタントの皆さんありがとうございました！ BOX & NEEDLE ------ 企画・運営：安斎勇樹 アシスタント：鈴木あすか So not really on the same topic as your post, but I found this today and I just can't resist sharing. Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling.
